Civic body clears ₹48 crore to repair 62 city roads
The Municipal Corporation on Monday approved ₹48 crore for the repair of 62 roads across the city.
Mayor Kiran Bala said work on the first phase, covering 20 roads, would begin on 15 November and was expected to be completed within 90 days.
"Roads damaged during the monsoon will be repaired first," the Mayor said.
Commissioner Rajinder Singh said tenders for the remaining 42 roads would be floated by the end of the month. The House also approved ₹6 crore for new streetlights in 14 wards.

नगर निगम ने सोमवार को शहर की 62 सड़कों की मरम्मत के लिए ₹48 करोड़ की राशि को मंज़ूरी दी।
मेयर किरण बाला ने बताया कि पहले चरण में 20 सड़कों का काम 15 नवंबर से शुरू होगा और इसे 90 दिनों में पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है।
मेयर ने कहा, "मानसून के दौरान क्षतिग्रस्त हुई सड़कों की मरम्मत पहले की जाएगी।"
